SOAHAC Dental Clinic

The SOAHAC Dental Clinic provides dental care to First Nations, Métis, and Inuit (FNMI) adults and children who are covered for services under Non-Insured Health Benefits, Ontario Works, or ODSP. We also provide services to Indigenous (FNMI) children and youth from 0-17 years old who are covered under Non-Insured Health Benefits, Healthy Smiles Ontario, or Children’s Aid Society. If you are eligible through one of these, you do not have to pay up front for services. If you are not sure if you or your family has coverage, please call us for assistance.

About our services

The Dental Clinic team provides comprehensive oral health care for you and your family. We look at the whole mouth to get the bigger picture. We are also proud to provide digital x-rays to minimize exposure to radiation, and to use a paperless, eco-friendly office system to reduce our impact on the environment. Examples of dental services include:

• Cleaning and polishing teeth
• White fillings
• Tooth extractions
• Root canal therapy
• Single crowns
• Full and partial dentures

Meet the Team

Dr. Lisa Kostecki – Dentist 

Dr. Lisa Kostecki is a general dentist who has worked in private practice for 12 years.  Lisa attended McMaster University for her undergraduate schooling, then University of Guelph for graduate studies, then Western here in London for dental school. She has recently moved back to her home town of London from Vancouver where she had been practicing and enjoying the mountains for the last 10 years.  She has two kids that keep her busy when she is not at the clinic.

Aleksandra Dorakovska — Dental Hygienist 

Aleksandra’s career path in oral health started 20 years ago. She is an internationally trained dentist, specialist in Orthodontics, who recently moved from Macedonia with her family. Continuing in the dental field here, Aleksandra completed the Dental Hygienist Program at the Southern Ontario Dental College. She has more than 6 years of progressive clinical experience in all areas of dentistry and a strong passion for patient care, oral health promotion, and advocacy in general dentistry and preventative care environments.

Alicia Doxtator, CDA II — Dental Assistant
Alicia is Mi’kmaq, belonging to Eskasoni First Nation in Nova Scotia. She was born and raised in London, Ontario. Alicia is a Certified Level 2 Dental Assistant and completed the Dental Assistant program at Medix College.

Sophia Hernandez — Level II Dental Assistant 

Sophia graduated in 2018 from Westervelt College. She was born and raised in London, Ontario and is bilingual in English and Spanish. Sophia has worked in the Northwest Territories as a Dental Assistant and she enjoys expanding her knowledge and skills in dentistry. She is always looking for opportunities for personal growth.
