Let’s shine here, together.
A donation to Nshwaasnangong is more than a generous show of support. It’s an act of reconciliation that will help our little stars and our future generations, thrive.
Reconciliation is an important and a long-term process, and it will involve the care, commitment and passion of so many in our communities. At the Southwest Ontario Aboriginal Health Access Centre (SOAHAC), we are committed to partnering with dedicated local organizations, businesses and community organizations to help offer tangible opportunities for action toward reconciliation.
We know that many settlers are thinking about reconciliation and what you can do to act for change, and we are pleased to share that we are now accepting donations to Nshwaasnangong Child Care & Family Centre.
Our “place of the eighth star”, which opened last fall at 449 Hill Street in London, is a place where families learn, heal and celebrate together, honouring Indigenous culture, language and teachings and remembering to practice a good way of living.
Only through connections to culture and language, and traditional ways of knowing, our families and communities can begin to heal and to overcome the violence of colonialism that has harmed too many generations of Indigenous people.
But we need your help.
At Nshwaasnangong, we know that it takes a large circle to raise and support our little people and our youth. Join our circle and make a gift to Nshwaasnangong in support of ceremonies, land-based learning, playgroups, connections to community supports and so much more that helps us rekindle our diverse identities as Indigenous peoples.
