Southwest Ontario Aboriginal Health Access Centre (SOAHAC) is a diverse, dynamic, multiservice Indigenous health and wellness agency. Are you a knowledgeable and driven individual who is passionate about making a tangible difference? We are looking for an Administrative Coordinator to join the team at our London site. Reporting to the Director, Nshwaasnangong, the Administrative Coordinator will be a key player in keeping the day-to-day operations of SOAHAC running smoothly and moving key initiatives forward. This new role will be responsible for supporting a wide range of tasks including supporting multiple cross-functional projects and assisting with the coordinating of daily activities that ensure that our clinic sites can focus on client care delivery.

What we’re looking for:
· Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in health care, public sector, or Not-for-Profit organization(s) preferred.
· Indigenous Cultural Knowledge and Understanding: Knowledge of culture and local Indigenous communities in Southwestern Ontario an asset. Must be supportive of both Indigenous and western models of wellness and health care.
· Cultural Sensitivity & Awareness: A genuine respect for Indigenous cultures and practices, with an openness to learning and engaging with Indigenous communities. Experience with Indigenous communities is an asset.
· Administration and Project Management: Experience managing multiple priorities simultaneously, including providing administrative support, tracking project progress, and following up on deliverable and milestones on important initiatives. Proven ability and experience using project management methodologies would be an asset. Demonstrated ability to effectively plan, organize and manage complex projects with limited supervision or direction. Superior critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills. Understands business objectives, annual organizational priorities and key deliverables, annual reporting cycles.
· Community Engagement: Excellent community engagement and relationship skills both within Indigenous communities and non-Indigenous environments.
· Organization and Time Management: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy and ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
· Teamwork and Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively and co-operatively with staff at all levels of an organization, members of the public, vendors and other partner, government, or health agencies. You are a team player who can establish and maintain effective working relationships with others and across teams.
· Communication: Excellent communication skills including the ability to prepare briefing notes, synthesize materials and prepare PowerPoints and meeting materials.
· Additional Requirements: You have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle, as travel within the region may be needed. You’ll also need a clean police check and up-to-date immunizations and records.
What you’ll do:
· Administrative Support: Ensure meetings are organized and scheduled for optimized efficiency. Manage monthly concur and expenses for select staff. Manage the Jordan’s Principle team voicemail and the Privacy and Occupation Health Department email inboxes. Provide administrative support and management of the OH&S committee minutes and meeting schedule. Support organization event planning. Management of SOAHAC branded ordering of supplies, SWAG, apparel and other materials. Assist management team and nursing/clinical staff with ordering of supplies, arranging education and booking events.
