Fully accredited by the CCA!

SOAHAC Celebrates its Recent Accreditation

After a months-long review process, the Southwest Ontario Aboriginal Health Access Centre (SOAHAC) is very pleased to announce its achievement of full accreditation by the Canadian Centre for Accreditation (CCA). This notable accomplishment reflects the hard work of our staff, board, and community partners. It ensures that clients are receiving the best care possible and that our organization is healthy and strong.

CCA accreditation is an extensive third-party review process, which is based on accepted organizational practices that promote ongoing improvement and responsive, effective community services. It consisted of careful review of organizational documents and processes, comprehensive site visits, and CCA-conducted interviews and surveys of clients, community partners, staff and board. These were measured against CCA Leading Practice Standards in order to evaluate the areas of governance, organizational planning and performance, leadership and risk management, and quality of services. We are delighted to share that SOAHAC has met all required organizational, service and community-based healthcare standards!

Thank you to our staff, Board, clients, community partners, and the CCA for their hard work and support throughout this process. We celebrate this achievement and look forward to continuous quality improvement.

Overall the review team found SOAHAC to be a healthy, effective organization that is delivering needed programs and services to its clients and communities” –CCA final report
