SOAHAC Celebrates Opening of New London Site
On October 25th, SOAHAC held the grand opening of its new clinic site in London, located at 493 Dundas street. The new clinic location will continue to support the health and wellbeing of Indigenous people living in London and surrounding areas and include onsite services including pharmacy medicine gardens, sacred fire space, and a sweat lodge.
SOAHAC leadership and London-site staff members were joined by the CEO of the Indigenous Primary Health Care Council, Caroline Lidstone-Jones, and Deputy Mayor of London, Shawn Lewis, to celebrate the new location and the continuation of commitment to the primary health care services offered in the community.
This clinic offers a variety of culturally-aware, Indigenous-led programming including: Child & Youth Outreach, Diabetes Education, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Services, Mental Health & Addiction Services, Pharmacy, Primary care, Supporting Aboriginal Seniors at Home (SASH), Tele-Mental Health for Children and Youth, and Traditional Healing.
